5 mistakes when exercising

Know these exercise mistakes that affect your session. Not changing your routine can stop you from seeing results.

An exercise program of any type is an excellent way to burn calories and lose weight. Most people who try to lose weight by going to the gym do not achieve the desired results, body or health they are trying to achieve. Many make simple mistakes when exercising, with the intention of preventing this from happening to you, we leave you a list of the 5 most common mistakes when exercising that hinder our weight loss. You’re doing too much cardio Cardiovascular exercise is good for your heart but doing too much of it could be a bad thing. If you’re running on a treadmill or riding the elliptical for hours, your body can start eating away at your lean mass (muscle). At the same time, this could slow your metabolism and make it harder for you to burn fat. It’s not that the solution is to stop doing cardio, but don’t just do this type of exercise. You’re Not Doing Strength Training Strength or weight training won’t make you look like a bodybuilder, but it will help you speed up your metabolism and stay in shape. You don’t change your routine When you get too used to a physical routine your body becomes resistant to it, so it adapts and instead of reacting to physical wear and tear it decreases over time and repetitions. Once you become aware that you are repeating the same routines, look for a new exercise to continue challenging and improving your physical condition. Reward yourself with junk food When you want to encourage your physical efforts, try to do it in a material way instead of food. If your way to celebrate a good CrossFit session or break your running record with 3 drinks alcoholic beverages, a burger and fries, you won’t make any real progress. You never rest. You are committed and that is very important, but obsessing over your goals could be a factor in slowing down your progress. If you don’t give yourself enough time to rest between exercises your body responds by producing more cortisol which is the stress hormone that stores fat, so even if you are exercising every day, make sure that some of those days you will do light exercise, yoga to relax your body, etc. Remember that all physical effort must be combined and balanced with a tailored eating plan, so don’t waste any more time and get to work on your goals.
