Tips to lose weight while traveling

Do you have a trip coming up? Here we leave you 3 super good tips to start losing weight. You can't miss them.

Calorie count

It’s all cooking while you travel so it’s vital that you start counting your calories. You can download an app or ask your nutritionist how many calories you are going to eat. Are you going to buy a product and the nutritional label is in another language? There are applications that just scan the barcode is enough. Just by doing that you will get all the information on the nutritional label. But… the truth is I have only tried this label in Europe, not in Asia.

Cook (most) of your meals

I know it sounds silly because we travel to experience eating new types of foods. But there will always be a space where we have to cook and that becomes complicated if we travel to another country. Because we don’t know how to cook the typical type of food there, but that can be a great experience too. Trust me, losing weight while traveling is possible, but you have to commit. However, if you do not want to venture to cook something typical of the country you are traveling to, you can buy: Eggs, fruits, nuts for breakfast. For lunch and dinner: beans, chicken and rice.

Walk everywhere

The healthiest part of our full-time trips is all the walking. The benefit of traveling the way we do is that we walk practically everywhere. In Rome for one day, I walked almost 18 miles. In Taipei, our daily record was 17 miles. It is true that we do not walk that much every day, but it is common. If you eat well and simply walk regularly, the calories will drop and you will be successful in losing weight while traveling!
