The end of the year is approaching. After the Christmas feast you have probably fantasized about a healthy New Year’s dinner to start the year off right. You may think that your family wants to repeat an impressive and gluttonous dinner, but it doesn’t have to be that way. At least not in its entirety. In fact, there are many things you can do to turn around this meal and make it much less heavy. And even better without your family complaining! We leave you the best tips!

Snack

Start with something light. But here’s the secret. A cocktail may be the best option. It helps calm the craving and doesn’t have to be overpowering at all. Especially since it can be based on NON-fried ingredients and better if they are low in salt. Maybe think about cut vegetables accompanied with a natural sauce.

** Entries **

The best is a salad. And it can be quite colorful. Green leaves, fish or seafood and even fruit. It can have olive oil or even a sweet sauce. Don’t worry so much about the sugar, as long as it’s not too much, it’s a much better option than something fried. Another good idea is creams with everything and croutons (but baked at home)

Drinks

For something sweet, maybe literally squeeze natural juices with some stevia. If you are going to opt for soft drinks, then at least they are light (although it is not the best). And for alcohol, better champagne and white wine.

** Main course **

Here you start thinking about a cut of meat. Instead of a pork leg or a turkey stuffed with everything, better opt for a fillet, goose or well, maybe turkey, but without skin. But the option above all is good fish. Salmon, Whole tuna, Hake, etc. Make the garnish based on vegetables or whole grains. Think brown rice. Whatever you are going to choose, preferably it is prepared in the oven.

Dessert

Because there has to be! Here it’s going to be a little more difficult because the options, at least the best ones, are sugar-free cakes. Or if you can’t escape anymore and you’re going to give a regular cake. You can choose for the portions to be small. The one I like is more of something fruit-based.
