Post-consultation follow-up for your patients
Here we will explain the post-consultation follow-up process that you will follow once your patient has had their first consultation with you.
In your consultations you will surely collect your patient’s data, such as age, initial fart, current eating habits, level of physical activity, height, etc. All of this, as you already know, is your guide to getting to know your patient and thus knowing what path you will propose to them to complete their goal of reducing their weight. Here we will explain the post-consultation follow-up process that you will follow once your patient has had their first session with you, so you will give them the Cambridge experience they need to reach their goal. As we mentioned in the previous paragraph, in your first appointment you will investigate everything about your patient. Well, it is extremely important to know all the factors that surround you physically, psychologically and your diet. This data will be the compass that will guide you in subsequent steps. Once you have all this data, you can now choose the step with which your patient will begin their plan. In Cambridge Weight Plan we have 6 steps. Where the first is divided into 2 with different amounts of calories. These 6 steps consist of 4 stages. In these 4 stages the patient will gradually lose their weight. He will only have to follow the instructions you give him to the letter. It is important to make him see that the secret of all this is in him. In how he makes his meals and what he eats. It is also important to make him see that he must have the responsibility to continue with this in order to make changes.

Preparation
In this first stage, the objective will be to reduce food consumption gradually. It is requested that it be this way, since doing it suddenly could affect the body and cause it to suddenly gain weight. Here the patient will reduce their levels of carbohydrates, fats and sugars before starting the diet.

Weight loss
By taking step 1 in the Cambridge Plan, you will begin to lose weight. There is Step 1 *Sole Source *in which all conventional food is replaced with Cambridge Weight Plan meals. The goal is to facilitate the ketosis phase as quickly as possible. The reason common foods are replaced is for the simple reason that; These foods contain a high portion of water and need to be replaced with CWP in order to stay nourished and not dehydrated. It is worth mentioning that CWP meals have a certain diuretic effect, which means that you will discard water more frequently. In step 1 *Sole Source Plus, *very similar to the previous one, only the calorie consumption increases to 640 Kcal per day. It consists of 4 Cambridge meals and 200ml of skim milk or 3 meals plus a 200kcal meal. These steps could be used for a maximum of 12 weeks without interruption.
-
Stabilization
Once this stage is reached, it should not be rushed nor abandoned; the fact that it is called stabilization does not mean that the goal has been reached. In this stage, a final level of energy consumption is prepared that is required to achieve a stable long-term weight. If the patient continues with his instructions without fail, he will continue to lose a little more weight during this stabilization phase.

Maintenance
Now is the part where the patient has achieved his goal and will dedicate himself from now on to maintaining the weight he achieved with healthy meals, exercise and good lifestyle habits. It is a process in which you need a lot of patience, dedication and being disciplined with the instructions. Let your patient know that his goal is not impossible and that he can achieve it, of course, if he complies with the instructions given to him. Show them cases of other patients who managed to achieve their goal, this will encourage them to continue without abandoning their plan.
