How your emotions can affect your health
Our emotions are linked to the health of our body. If you want to be a healthy person you have to take control of them.
Has it ever happened to you that you have started an eating plan and maybe something comes up along the way of the diet and you can’t lose weight… Your spirit goes down and you feel like you can no longer achieve it and those emotions made you break the diet. Many other factors can interfere with a diet, including emotions and even general health. When we experience an emotion, we are actually experiencing a vibration of energy. Each vibration is totally different, for example, when you are happy, when you are sad or when you are fearful, you emanate a different energy. * All of this causes our body to begin to have different reactions. We are not referring to physical reactions, but to chemical reactions that will manifest in our body. However, this whole ball of energy is sometimes what causes us physical pain. Like a headache or gastritis and it’s because all that energy is stuck in that part of the body. An example of all this energy we emanate is when you are around someone who only complains. Soon the person listening will feel tense and stressed because they are the one receiving the other person’s negative energy. And that’s why when we’re around a person like that, our body tells us to move. Because he understands that we are in danger around this person and that we must avoid them.
Stress
Stress causes negative energy to travel throughout your body and causes your immune system to lower its defenses. Doing this causes you to become more receptive to certain viruses that will cause illness in you. * Like the flu, nasal congestion, constipation, you can get a cough and all of this happens when we get stressed. Also when we have a lot of stress, the hormone cortisol increases and this causes people not to lose weight. It is very difficult for a stressed person to lose weight and if they do, the process is very slow. This makes the path to losing weight even more difficult. Another consequence of stress is that your cholesterol increases, your blood pressure increases and your blood glucose increases. Walking stressed generates many emotions, generates frustration, anger, generates helplessness, pure negative energy and in the end it will affect your health.
How to eliminate stress?
There is a very interesting way to eliminate stress which by its acronym in English is “EFT”. * In Spanish it is called “Emotional Freedom Technique”, it is a psychological technique that helps you stay calm through emotional release. Another technique is breathing exercises, which consists of inhaling for 5 seconds, then holding it, and then exhaling. Also creating certain thoughts or searching so as not to get out of that concentration.
About thinking
Another factor that produces negative energy that can affect our health is overthinking. Constantly creating thoughts about things that have not yet happened can cause anxiety. * For example, one of the thoughts of things that have not happened is when it is raining and you start to think that you are going to crash because of it. The mind is so powerful that you are attracting what you are thinking, if you think that, you are possibly going to have a mishap. Constantly thinking negatively about things that have not yet happened can have negative consequences for your body. To solve this problem, it is recommended to think positively about anything you propose. For example, when you are going to go on a diet, you should not think that you are not going to succeed because your mind is going to be programmed not to lose weight. Better think that you will do much better, that you will achieve it and thus your mind will help you lose weight. The mind is so powerful that if you think you are sick, there will come a day when you really are. It is better to think positive things so that you can fill yourself with positive energy.
Emotional Eating
A study published in Spain titled “How we eat emotionally” that portrays the triggers of an emotional eater. They divided the participants into 3 small groups, which were sedentary women and men. * People with overweight and obesity and in the other group were athletes. What the study is about is that a person who practices physical activity is, in a way, releasing more energy and what they achieve is to keep their weight under control. Reduce your total weight and have a lower body mass index than a sedentary person. Or a person who already suffers from overweight and obesity who are the ones who tend to think negatively. In this study, they discovered the traits of an emotional eater and they are as follows:
- They are afraid to get on the scale.
- They have cravings for certain foods.
- It is difficult for them to stop eating sweet foods like chocolate.
- You have problems controlling the quantities of certain foods.
- You eat when you are stressed, angry or bored.
- Do you eat more of your favorite foods and uncontrollably when you are alone?
- You think, “no one sees me, so it’s like I don’t eat it.”
- You feel guilty after binge eating.
- When you come home tired from work, that’s when you feel most out of control over your diet.
- You eat all the foods that you think will make you gain weight the most because you know that you will feel guilty later.
- You feel that food controls you, instead of you controlling it.
Solutions to take control of your emotions
To take control of your emotions you have to do the following: * **Exercise: **we all know that exercising generates endorphins and that will make our brain feel relaxed and happy. Restorative sleep: We don’t mean that you are taking sleeping or relaxation pills. We mean that you are really resting. What can you do to have a restful sleep? You can have a tea to relax, so that it is easier to fall asleep and lose weight quickly. **Do meditation: **connecting with yourself will always be important and more so because you are going to close the door to everything around you. That will give you a break. **Optimize your vitamin D levels: **If you were diagnosed with depression, it is very likely that you have a low level of vitamin D. If you still don’t know if you have it or not, you can go for a walk in the sun so you can get the vitamin D that it gives us. **If you want more information on nutrition and health topics, or need advice to find the healthiest eating plan to help you lose weight, **click here **
