5 things you eat that prevent you from losing weight

Some foods that seem healthy can prevent you from losing weight because they provide a large amount of calories.

You are following your diet to the letter and in fact you have already removed soft drinks, desserts and sweets from the menu. So…why aren’t you losing weight? I wondered about it for a long time. And I found the answer. I thought that certain things didn’t make me gain as much weight or I fully believed that they didn’t add weight to me. But I was wrong. And here is the list of my 5 delicious mistakes: Dried fruit Fruit is that sweet thing that you need to lose weight. But, when it comes to nuts, it is very easy to overeat. Dried fruit lacks all the water of regular fruit, which means it doesn’t fill you up as much. When the water is removed, concentrated fructose (sugar) is produced. A handful of raisins has approximately 25 grams of sugar, with little fiber and protein. Better go back to normal fruit. It tastes just as good and contains natural sugar that is good for you and fills you up without overeating. Granola Bars and Granola Granola is often sold as healthy, but in reality, most granola sold in the store is full of sugar. I ate and bought almost anything that had it. The bars are generally delicious and so on. But instead of making me feel healthier, I actually felt too full. They swelled me up! It’s definitely not something you want as your healthy snack option. Better the day with some oatmeal. Fat-Free, Low-Calorie Snacks Not all store-bought snacks are bad, but many are no better than desserts. Companies market them as “healthy” simply by labeling them “fat-free” or “low-calorie.” However, when you see the nutritional data nals, it’s another story. What says fat-free usually comes packed with refined sugars. Low-calorie bars are often too small. They taste great, but you only need two or three bites and will leave you hungry after five minutes. Find or better yet, cook snacks made with real ingredients. Kale chips are a great alternative to French fries. You can try with carrots and a spoonful of hummus to change it up. Burgers and Other Vegetarian Foods It’s easy to assume that because vegetables are healthy, anything vegetarian is good for weight loss. That’s not always the case. Many companies season their plant-based products with cheap, low-quality ingredients, adding unnecessary fats and carbohydrates. Check nutrition labels before purchasing, or better yet, try making veggie burgers at home. Grilled stuffed mushrooms are a great option for losing weight. Pasta Whole wheat is better than refined pasta. However, food companies don’t have to do much to label a product as “whole wheat.” In fact, pasta does not have to be 100% whole wheat to carry the label. This means that, if you think you are getting the healthiest thing, you probably aren’t. You may end up eating tons of refined carbs. Try spaghetti squash or zucchini, which have a fraction of the calories and twice the nutrients.
