4 things you need to know when you’re on a diet Copy Cwp April 8, 2018 No Comments If you’ve been on a diet more than once, you probably know some tricks. Peanut butter is allowed, the more vegetables the better, if you exercise you deserve a reward, among other things. But it is important that you know these 4 mistakes that people who are trying to diet commonly make.
- Eating peanut butter from the jar is not healthy So yes, we know that peanut butter has a thousand advantages and benefits and we find it in many diets, but while peanut butter is full of heart-healthy fats, it is not empty of calories. So if you find yourself spooning the delicious butter out of the jar, don’t wonder why your jeans don’t fit looser. This is important to remember with all healthy foods. Just because they aren’t “junk food” doesn’t mean you can eat as much as you want. Watch portion sizes when it comes to whole grains, nuts and seeds.
- Being vegan does not automatically lead to weight loss We probably all know people who lead a vegan life, and yes, they are generally very thin people. But if you think that having a plant-based diet is the basis for losing kilos, you are very wrong. Instead of eating your fill of delicious fish, you may end up eating tons of pasta, bread, French fries, dairy-free ice cream, and vegan chocolate cupcakes. Now if you focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains it will be different. The truth is, a vegetarian diet can help you more achieve your weight loss goal, instead of filling yourself with desserts and vegan junk food.
- Walking is not enough Ca Mining is definitely better than sitting on the couch, but don’t think that by walking through the mall, or to the corner store, you’re going to lose the kilos of your life. Walking is not as great of a calorie burner as running. When it comes to losing weight, you need to burn or cut 3,500 calories a week to lose 500 grams. Walking for 30 minutes burns around 122 calories. Which is well below the 500 you need to affect the Monday scale. If you want to lose weight, you need to increase the intensity and duration of your workouts.
- Exercising doesn’t mean you can eat everything. After you leave your spinning class, you may want to go prepare a large and delicious dinner. You deserve it, don’t you? You worked a lot burning calories. What you don’t know is that everything good you did in your class, you are going to undo and probably consume many more calories than you burned. I agree, you deserve a reward, how about giving yourself a download on iTunes, or a new book, a moment of zen?
